A Christmas Scene

Help students learn to describe and ask questions with this engaging Christmas Scene activity. Students will practise describing a house room and asking Wh- Questions and Yes / No Questions based on the provided picture.

How could we use it?

Students work in pairs. Provide the picture in colour to one student and the black and white version to the other. The two drawings represent the same room, but some objects are missing in the black and white picture. While one student is describing the room in detail, the other completens and paints his black and white picture by following the given instructions. When they finish, change roles with a new in colour picture. Encourage students to ask questions about the picture.

A great way to build vocabulary, speaking sentnece structures and confidence when speaking. You could easily add a writtn element also to this activity.
