M&M Game

M&M game is a wonderful game for students to get to know each other better. There are always things to discover about them and for them to discover about us. I normally sit them in small groups of 5 and give them a bag of @mms_es (previously asking if there are intolerances to make changes if necessary)They have to put their hand in the bag and take a random color without looking and answer that question on the paper. I recommend that the teacher always models the activity first and that way can go around all the groups. Kids love hearing our stories. They can get the same color more than once, that isn’t a problem. There will be many rounds. Sometimes students get really nervous and don’t know what to answer, give them time and don’t force them, just encourage them, it’s an activity to enjoy.

This activity can be adapted with skittles, color popcorn or fruit. It is meant to be eaten at that moment. You can also use different verb tenses and invent questions for your students to practice.
