This a great way to make sure students have listened and understood an explanation in class.

It is also a way to encourage students that struggle studying to get good marks by listening, participating and asking in class.

At the beginning or end of the class a question related to the explanation or reading is asked by the teacher. It can also be asked by a random classmate, they love it.

Thinking of a good question is a great way of synthesising too. This a very useful tool for formative assessment.
